The unique feature of the St. Catherine’s PTSA is the commitment to philanthropic activity and Saturday saw our school community coming together for the first “St. Cats Acts” of 2017.  The “Cook for Good” event proved as successful as last year as our families came together to create a typical Greek meal for those less fortunate than ourselves within our local area.  The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Lykovrissi were effusive in their praise of St. Catherine’s and asked me to convey their thanks to all the families who gave their time and resources on Saturday – bravo to all!

Our relationship within the local community was also highlighted on Sunday as I attended the annual Vasilopita Cake Cutting and Students’ Awards Ceremony at the Tositsa Foundation.  If you are not aware our sports fields belong to the Tositsa Foundation and we also use their building to support the delivery of our public examinations.  It is a relationship of real mutual benefit and long may it continue.

Following last week’s second Lower School Parents’ Evening, this week sees our IB2 students and their parents coming together to review their mock examination performance and focus on what needs to be done between now and the summer to ensure their university places.

I hope that you have noticed the website pop-up posted at the end of last week – we are well on with the arrangements for our 60th Anniversary Gala Spring Ball on Friday, 24th March 2017 at the Grand Resort Lagonissi and ticket details will be out very shortly.  Make sure you have the date in your diary – it promises to be an event not to be missed.
