Following on from our first cultural visit to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in September, we are organising a trip to the Queens Estate (Pyrgos Vasilissis) in Ilion. Built in 1854, it was designed by the same french architect, Florimond Boulanger, who designed the Parliament building in Athens. The Queens Tower has been recently and beautifully restored.
We have booked a tour in English that will walk through the building, the estate and be followed by wine tasting in the grounds. This will take place on Thursday 9th November from 10am till about 2pm, at a cost of 10 euros per person.* (*Cost will depend on a minimum number of participants signing up.)
