LITTER PICK UP – 22nd March 2019

Marking the end of "eco-fortnight", 10 parents demonstrated the kind of practical action we can all take by clearing the litter from around the school entrance. It took around 20 minutes to pick up over 12 bags! Cigarette butts, straws, snack packets, wipes and plastic cups were all major culprits, as well as some bigger containers that had been jettisoned. As we cleared the debris, it was easier to see the wildflowers that flourish even on the smallest patch of green - they are so beautiful! - they need our help, not our litter! As you come out of school, if you're having a snack - enjoy every bite and don't leave anything in sight!
